The Carbon Series is the result of over 6 years of design and development with the express purpose of being the best subwoofer aimed squarely at the customer that wants every last scrap of bass that they paid for, and they want it all to be clean, like squeaky clean.
 
Here are some notes on what makes a Carbon Series speaker so awesome. If you don't understand it, contact me and we can chat about it.
The carbon fibre is a key component to reducing the ill effects of resonance and as such it offers distinct advantages in driver behaviour, amp programming, and increases clarity of sound. 
This sonic profile of the C24 L1 is close to the C18 L1 in the deep bass. This allows you to choose your speaker and possibly save a ton of real estate in dedicated subwoofer space.
The C24 L1, C18 L2, and C18 L3 are all within 1-2 dB of each other and all conform to the LDLC mantra of inaudible distortion and compression, so they all essentially sound the same or extremely similear. So picking your subwoofer honestly is about picking the right size and budget that fits you the best.
Here is why the sonic profile is radical:  If you are running a bookshelf speaker it will not be able to keep up in output anyway, so you can extend the top end of the subwoofer and then dial down the gain to match your bookshelf, all while having all the low end the subwoofer is capable of putting out. If you are running a big main speaker, let the sub off the chain and its all good.
What's the deal with the L1 L2 L3? Simple, each performance level up represents a jump in performance as performance relates to output, compression, and distortion. The higher the performance level, the more pure audio you get and the less you get of the dead weight (distortion and compression).
