Alex Otto

Alex Otto is a studio designer, builder, integrator, calibrator, and audio consultant based in the Southwest.
His audio experience includes front-of-house duties for music venues and professional theater, as well as freelance studio engineering.
Alex served as an Audio Educator at the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences in Tempe, AZ, preparing future audio professionals in all aspects of recording and production, with a focus on digital audio workstations, particularly AVID Pro Tools.
In 2017, Alex formed OSW Audio to provide complete design services for recording studios, production rooms, dub stages, and high-end home cinemas. Services include isolation, electrical and mechanical systems design, interior acoustics, finishes, integration, commissioning, calibration, and testing.
Alex provides audio calibrations for recording studios, Atmos production rooms, high-end home cinemas, and DCI-compliant private screening rooms.
These services are offered to integration partners nationwide for projects worldwide. Integration partners include Cyber Technology Group, Global Wave, and AHT Global.
Vendor partners for which Alex is certified for calibration and integration include Trinnov, Storm Audio, TPI Loudspeakers, Procella, ATC, and, of course, Harbottle Audio.
Alex holds Dolby calibrator certification and HAA Level Three certification and is a member of AES, NAMM, and CEDIA.
